Art goes kapakka - Oiva goes stand up!
Oiva's August stand-up club opens its doors on August 17th at 7 PM as part of the Art goes kapakka event.
On stage, you'll see emerging stars of the comedy scene, including Joonas Ranta, the winner of the 2022 Quick Laughter competition, Katariina Salonen, and Marianna Keisalo (*a couple of names are yet to be confirmed).
The evening will be hosted by Amanda Hiekkataipale, a suburban comedian from Helsinki's Beverly Hills, or rather, Pihlajamäki.

Tuomo Uusitalo Trio
Tuomo Uusitalo is an internationally acclaimed jazz pianist who has been based in New York since 2012 and relocated to Helsinki in 2022. Uusitalo's career includes performances with several legendary bands and musicians, such as the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Jimmy Cobb, Billy Hart, Chris Cheek, Seamus Blake, Justin Brown, Dayna Stephens, Peter Slavov, Ulysses Owens Jr., David Schnitter, Rich Perry, Joe Farnsworth, Elliott Mason, and more.

TIINA VITIKAINEN, self-taught artist from Helsinki
"I have always loved beauty. Been drawn to colors, sounds, and melodies.
But for me, beauty is not always about symmetry or harmony.
Life isn't either.
I have inherited my creativity from my father and his side of the family.
When the coronavirus locked everyone in their homes in 2020, I began filling my days by experimenting with drawing and painting.
Realizing how much joy painting brought me, the thoughts, ideas, and the feeling of accomplishment it gave me, a fire was ignited, and it still burns.
I now paint almost every day, and it has become my passion, my teaching, my love, and my reason to be."
